All England Badminton LIVE: Second round action is all set to begin at the All England Badminton Championships. HS Prannoy, Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth are all eyeing spot in the quarterfinals of the tournament. They will all be in action in their respective second round matches on Thursday, 16th March 2023. HS Prannoy vs Anthony Ginting
HS Prannoy began the campaign at the All England Badminton with a straight set win against Wang Tzu-wei. The World No.9 Indian will now face third seed Anthony Ginting. Prannoy is aiming his second quarterfinal spot in the tour this year after the Malaysia Open.
Anthony Ginting sailed past Kantaphon Wangcharoen 21-17, 21-19 in the first round. The Indonesian enters the upcoming contest as the favourite. Prannoy leads in the head-to-head record against the Indonesian 2-1. They last met at the Swiss Open last year and Prannoy sealed a win in three games.

Lakshya Sen vs Anders Antonsen
Lakshya Sen, who slid down to 19th spot in the World rankings is looking to claw his way back up. He began the All England Championships by defeating fifth seed Chou Tien Chen in straight games in the first round. In the second round, he is now set to face Anders Antonsen.
Antonsen is 18th in the rankings. The Danish defeated his compatriot Rasmus Gemke 21-16, 21-18 in straight games in the first round. He is aiming to reach his maiden quarterfinal in the tour this year. Both the players met once earlier in the tour. It was at the All England Championships last year. Lakshya Sen won the match in straight sets.
Kidambi Srikanth vs Kodai Naraoka
Kidambi Srikanth clinched a come-from-behind win against Toma Popov in the first round. It was his first victory in the tour this year. The Indian now faces a big challenge in seventh seed Kodai Naraoka.
Naraoka faced Lu Guangzu in the first round. The Japanese was leding 11-7 in the first game before Guangzu retired due to an injury. Naraoka started the year by finishing as runner-up at Malaysia Open. However after that he suffered three straighjt first round defeats. He is now eyeing to get back to form.
Men’s Doubles
Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty vs Liang Weikeng/Wang Chang
Men’s Doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rakireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated their compatriots Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala and Krishnaprasad Garaga in the first round. They sixth seeded pair will face unseeded Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang.
The Chinese pair started the tournament by defeating Thailand’s Supak Jomkoh and Kittinupong Kedren in straight sets. They started the year by finishing as runner-up at Malaysia Open and won the Indian Open title in the subsequent week. The unseeded pair are aiming to make deep run in the current tournament.
Treesa Jolly/Gayatri Gopichand vs Yuki Fukushima/Sayaka Hirota
Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand made a positive start to their All England campaign this year. They defeated seventh seed Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai in straight sets. The Indian pair reached the semifinal and aim yet another deep run in the tournament.
They will face Japan’s unseeded Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota. The Japanese pair clinched victory in the previous round against Scotland’s Julie MacPherson and Clara Torrance.
