Monte Carlo Masters LIVE: Sinner vs Rune LIVE – Jannik Sinner and Holger Rune are aiming to reach their maiden Monte Carlo Masters final. Both the youngsters will be in action in their career’s first-ever semifinal in the clay court tournament at Monaco. The battle between the young guns is scheduled to begin at 7 PM on Saturday, 15th April 2023. • Jannik Sinner will be aiming to seal his second successive spot in a final of an ATP Masters 1000 tournament this year.
• Just a week ago, he made it to the final at the Miami Open and lost against Daniil Medvedev in the summit clash.
• At the Monte Carlo, he began his campaign in the second round and was leading against Diego Schwartzman 6-0, 3-1 before he was given a walkover.
• In the third round he faced a challenge against Hubert Hurkacz. He lost the firts set but bounced back to seal a 3-6, 7-6, 6-1 victory.
• He then met his compatriot Lorenzo Musetti in the quarterfinal. The 21-year old hardly broke a sweat as he sealed a 6-2, 6-2 win top make it to the semifinal.
• His first title of the year came at the Open Sud de France earlier this year. He then finished as runner-up at ATP Rotterdam and Miami Open and aims to reach his fourth final of the season.

• Holger Rune will be playing his career’s first ever semifinal in a ATP Masters 1000 tournament.
• The youngster is yet to drop a set in the tournament. He began his campaign with a 6-2, 6-4 win against Dominic Thiem in the second round.
• In the third round he received a walkover from Matteo Berrettini as the Italian withdrew following an injury.
• He faced red-hot Daniil Medvedev in his first-ever quarterfinal match at Monte Carlo. The teenager went on to became only the third player to defeat the Russian this season.
• He was in complete control in the contest and clinched a 6-3, 6-4 victory. The youngster will now face in-form Jannik Sinner for a spot in the final.
• The Dane will be playing his third semifinal in a tournament this year. He bowed out from the semifinals at the Open Sud de France and Mexican Open earlier this season.

Rube vs Sinner Head-to-Head: The upcoming contest will be the second meeting between both the players in the tour. They met last year at the Sofia Open and Sinner gave a walkover to Rune when he was trailing 7-5, 4-6, 2-5. Yet another close contest is expected when both these players take the court on Saturday.
