Wimbledon Semifinal LIVE: Novak Djokovic is one match away from reaching another final at the Wimbledon. The seven-time champion at the All England Club will face eighth seed Jannik Sinner in the semifinal on Friday, 14th July 2023. The match is scheduled to begin at 8.00 PM IST.

- Novak Djokovic has so far been unshaken in his quest for his fifth straight Wimbledon title.
- Despite his last two-matches extending to four sets in the tournament, he has been at his best so far and aims for a similar show against Sinner in the Wimbledon semifinal.
- He began his campaign in the tournament by sailing past Pedro Cachin, Jordan Thompson and Stan Wawrinka in the first three rounds.
- In the fourth round, he was pushed to the hilt by 17th seed Hubert Hurkacz. The Serbian however managed to win the first two sets via tie-breakers.
- The game had to be suspended due to curfew. Resuming the proceedings the next day, Djokovic lost the third set. He however came back to clinch the fourth set and entered the quarterfinal.
- In the last-eight stage, he met seventh seed Andrey Rublev. Djokovic dropped the first set but went on to register a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3 win.
- He will now meet an in-form Sinner. It remains to be seen whether the Italian will be a stumbling block to his Wimbledon final hopes.
Sinner to play in maiden Grand Slam final
- Jannik Sinner will be in action in his career’s maiden Grand Slam semifinal.
- The Italian began his campaign by registering straight set wins against Juan Cerundolo and Diego Schwartzman in the first two rounds.
- He met Quentin Halys in the third round. He faced a challenge as he lost the first set. The Italian made a terrific comeback to seal a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 victory.
- Sinner then sailed past Daniel Galan in straight sets to reach his second successive quarterfinal in the tournament.
- In the quarterfinal, he ended Russian Roman Safiullin’s dream run. He went on to register a 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory to set up clash against Djokovic in the semis.
Djokovic vs Sinner Head-to-Head: Both the players have met twice in the tour so far. Djokovic registered victories in both the matches. Their last meeting infact was at the Wimbledon last year in the quarterfinal. Djokovic faced a scare against the Italian as he lost the first two sets. However he made a comeback and clinched a 5-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 victory. Another close encounter can be expected when both the players meet yet again.
