Opener Shubman Gill was impressive with the bat as the young batter missed out on a well-deserved hundred against West Indies in the 3rd ODI in Trinidad. Meanwhile, Gill was also in spotlight during the second innings of the match as he took a good low catch in slips to help Jaydev Unadkat get his first wicket in the 50-over format after ten years. The left-arm pacer played his last ODI match against Zimbabwe in July 2013.

The decision was referred upstairs and was ruled out in Gill’s favour
Speaking about the delivery, Unadkat bowled a Length ball moving across batter Keacy Carty who just pushed at it with no real footwork and got a thick outside edge. It flew quickly and low to Gill’s right, he moved swiftly and kept his eyes on it all the way through, just got his fingers under it to send Carty on his way back.
Earlier in the innings, Gill also completed a fine catch to send West Indies skipper Shai Hope back to the pavilion. The right-handed batter also stroked 85 runs in 92 balls which included 11 boundaries. However, he missed out on an opportunity to score a ton. Apart from him, skipper Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson also stroked fifties to help India post 351 runs on board.
Meanwhile, India is on a verge of completing another dominating performance as the home side has lost 8 wickets on just 92 runs. Pacers Mukesh Kumar, Shardul Thakur and Jaydev Unadkat were all impressive with the ball giving India a perfect final win to clinch the series under stand-in skipper Hardil Pandya.
