The Korean Zombie Admits Being Scary and Lonely After Max Holloway Knockout

The Korean Zombie Admits Being Scary and Lonely After Max Holloway Knockout- 'Don't Know What To Do'

Max Holloway put Chan Sung Jung aka The Korean Zombie out cold on the canvas in round three of UFC Singapore’s headliner.

A devastated ‘Zombie’ hung up his gloves and announced retirement following the knockout defeat. Meanwhile, it appeared to be a sweet win for ‘Blessed’ who scored his first finish since knocking out Brian Ortega in December 2018.

While ‘Blessed’ Holloway can be a rightful contender to the 145 lbs next, The Korean Zombie seems unsure of what’s next in his life.

Chan Sung Jung took to social media from the hospital and shared honest views. He cherished his time in the UFC and thanked Dana White. ‘Zombie’ also expressed gratitude towards Max Holloway, who now seems to be his final opponent.

The Korean Zombie wrote, “I haven’t achieved everything, but I’m pretty enough and I’m going to stop wanting more from my hair. I feel like I got a little more love than I did thank y’all. I will no longer live a life where I am evaluated and compared. I am lonely, regretful and scary. I don’t know what to do, but whatever I do, I will do my best and whatever I do with all my heart. In the meantime…. Thank you so much for loving Korean Pottery. I was really really happy fighting in the UFC.”

17-8 as a professional, Chan Sung Jung couldn’t win the UFC title. However, he has delivered umpteen interesting bouts, that hold special places in the hearts of several fans.

Upon beating Max Holloway, The Korean Zombie could have moved forward towards another title shot. But that didn’t happen.

UFC Singapore Main Event Highlights: Max Holloway vs The Korean Zombie

As expected, the battle between two fierce strikers began with brutal exchanges right from the beginning. Max Holloway and Chan Sung Jung didn’t hesitate to take damage and give it back to each other.

Despite getting clipped a couple of times, Chan Sung Jung landed clean shots on Max Holloway. Meanwhile, Holloway had a successful ground moment where he ended up putting ‘Zombie’ in a choke.

It didn’t work in favor of ‘Blessed’ as the fight returned to its feet. In round three, Max Holloway and The Korean Zombie got into another heated exchange where the Hawaiian crushed down his opponent with a right hand.
