BCCI is in a fix once again due to the ODI World Cup 2023 scheduling mess. In the latest, another state association has asked the Indian cricket board to change the dates of the ODI world Cup 2023 games, adding to the growing list of organizational challenges.
The Ganesh Visarjan and Milan-Un-Nabi festivals, which culminate on September 28, have led the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) to request that the September 29 warm-up game between Pakistan and New Zealand be “reconsidered” as a result.
The two back-to-back World Cup 2023 league games set to take place on October 9 and October 10 at the Rajiv Gandhi international cricket stadium in Hyderabad, according to The Indian Express, had already sparked security concerns.
It is known that HCA has sent the BCCI executives an email concerning their request once more. After the BCCI-ICC (International Cricket Council) put tickets for World Cup 2023 games on sale, including for the warm-up matches, the HCA filed its plea.

The HCA is displeased that the Indian board (BCCI) has not properly communicated with them and that they have not yet received an official letter containing the amended schedule.
The local authorities have been demanding official letters concerning the changed schedule from the ICC or BCCI, and the HCA officials have been having trouble persuading them. There hasn’t been any communication since the Indian board wrote a letter in June confirming the previously established schedule.
According to what is known, the local government has informally requested again that HCA rethink holding the games on October 9 and 10 because they won’t be able to provide security coverage for one of the games.
A huge number of police officers will be stationed at the hotel where the Pakistani team will be staying, and approximately 3,000 police officers will be deployed for one game.
According to reports, the police have notified HCA that if the other game—New Zealand vs Netherlands—is played on the scheduled day, they won’t be able to provide sufficient protection for the Pakistan game.
Notably, the BCCI did not alter the ODI World Cup 2023 dates and continued with their plan despite the HCA’s request.
