The Serbian will face qualifier Borna Gojo in the fourth round of the tournament on Sunday, 3rd September 2023. Djokovic enters the contest after clinching a five-set win against Laslo Djere. Qualifier Gojo meanwhile is yet to drop a set. The match is scheduled to begin at 4.30 AM IST.

• Novak Djokovic suffered a scare against fellow compatriot Laslo Djere in the third round of the US Open 2023.
• The 23-time Grand Slam champion was in deep trouble as he lost the first two sets in the match. However he was able to claw his way back and clinched a 4-6, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 win.
• Djokovic hopes to get back to his dominant best when he faces qualifier Gojo in the fourth round.
• Earlier in the first two rounds, Djokovic sealed comfortable straight set wins against Alexandre Muller and Zapatta Miralles.

• Borna Gojo will be making his maiden third round appearance in a Grand Slam event.
• The Croatian entered the US Open this year as a qualifier. He made it to the main draw in the Grand Slam event for the first time in his career.
• The World No.105 has been in terrific form in the tournament. He is yet to drop a set.
• Gojo sailed past Hugo Delien, Mackenzie McDonald and Jiry Vesely in the first three rounds so far.

Djokovic vs Gojo Head-to-Head: Both the players will face each other for the first time. Gojo is aiming to extend his dream run in the US Open this year. He however will face a stern test against Djokovic.
